Can This Competition Help Veterans Forget About Their Injuries?

The annual Warrior Games held by the Department of Defense will take place this year on Friday, June 19.  These games are also sponsored by the Wounded Warrior Project. These games bring together Wounded Warrior athletes to compete in events to show their athletic skills.

These games are a real statement about courage and commitment to excellence.  These Wounded Warriors show us that the human character is larger than the circumstances that life sometimes thrusts upon us. They show us, too, that the physical limitations they sustained while serving this country can not hold them back.

Bravo to all who will compete. Thank you for your service and for showing us how to fight on.
