Rocky received a Purple Heart for his sacrifice — and when the above photo was shared of him wearing his medal, it went viral, receiving over 64,000 likes and 16,000 comments, with people sending their thanks and blessings.

Both SPC Brown and Rocky are expected to make a full recovery in the coming weeks.
