Memorial Day: A Legacy of Service and Sacrifice

This video would be a great video to show your children, to share with your neighbors, and, if you are a teacher, to present to your students and, then, let them talk about it, to help them understand what we are remembering on every Memorial Day.

These still photos and the text associated with them clearly reveal the reality of service and sacrifice that our men and women in military service, and their families endure, and undertake in defense of our nation.

It is important that such knowledge be passed on, that we all remember, and that our young people need to learn. If we love our country, it is because there are reasons for that love that transcend our individual lives, that are true for all who live in this nation. Those reasons are grounded in reality, therefore, in reality, they are important for all of us. Because the reasons for this experiment in democracy that we call the United States of America are real, there are real reasons for sometimes having to respond to the nation’s call to defend them.

This Memorial Day, watch this brief film and remember those who have fallen while serving this country. They are the reason why we are still a thriving nation. Remember them and support all who are presently serving and offering their time, their treasure, their talent, even their lives to keep us free and viable now, and in the future. God bless them all. And God bless their families.
