Christina Briefly Discusses Her Double Mastectomy With Oprah — And Laughter Ensues!

In 2008, Christina Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was only 36 at the time.

Christina Applegate is best known for her comedic acting in the television show “Married with Children” and the film “Anchorman.”

When faced with the possibility of being treated with several doses of radiation therapy and many hours spent in the hospital, she made the life-changing decision to go in a different direction.

In another interview, Applegate sat down with Melissa Etheridge two days after Christina was diagnosed, and was told that what she was about to receive a blessing and a new start. Etheridge’s inspiring words gave her the confidence and a new look on life, allowing her to find a new sense of strength in how she deals, reacts, and adapts to life’s everyday challenges.

Here, she sits down with Oprah to discuss her decision to get a double mastectomy. Though their conversation starts off serious and emotional, what they discuss at the end will leave you smiling and giggling!
